LCMS-MS/MS

The Waters TQXS is a cutting-edge triple quadrupole mass spectrometer designed to deliver exceptional performance in the quantitative analysis of biomolecules. This advanced instrument ionizes samples at atmospheric pressure in the source, and the ions then enter the vacuum system through the sample cone. The StepWave XS directs the ions to the first quadrupole, where they are selected based on their mass-to-charge ratio (m/z). The filtered ions are then sent to the collision cell (the second quadrupole) where they may be fragmented. The masses of these fragments are analysed in the third quadrupole, and the transmitted ions are detected by a dynode coupled with a multiplier. The resulting signal is digitized and displayed on the PC screen. The TQXS stands out for its ability to provide extremely reliable results even at very low concentrations, making it ideal for applications ranging from pharmacokinetics to environmental studies, food analysis, and biomedical research.

Key Features of the TQXS:

  • Ultra-High Sensitivity: The TQXS is designed to offer exceptional sensitivity, allowing for the detection of analytes at extremely low levels. It excels in trace compound detection and quantification, which is crucial for laboratories working with complex or low-concentration samples.
  • Superior Resolution and Precision: The high-precision mass control system ensures highly reproducible results, essential for applications such as drug analysis, pesticide detection, metabolite profiling, or contaminant identification.
  • Rapid Data Acquisition: The TQXS allows for very high-speed data acquisition, making it ideal for multiplexed analyses or those requiring rapid chromatographic separation. This enhances productivity and enables the analysis of a larger number of samples within shorter timeframes.
  • Robustness and Reliability: Built to operate continuously in high-throughput environments, the TQXS ensures exceptional stability over extended analysis periods.
