Beckman Coulter Access 2

The Access 2 by Beckman Coulter is a fully automated analyser designed for quantitative, semi-quantitative, and qualitative determination of various analytes. Utilizing Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA) technology, it supports heterogeneous immunoassays across different formats, including immunometric, competitive, sandwich, indirect, and immunocapture assays. The Access 2 employs paramagnetic microparticles coated with a binding agent, which may be an antibody, antigen, binding protein, or a combination thereof, depending on the assay. These microparticles, made of polystyrene with incorporated iron particles and carboxyl groups, are used in conjunction with alkaline phosphatase (either conjugated or free, as in BSAP assays). After capturing the enzyme on the microparticles and subsequent washing, the enzyme activates its substrate, facilitating sensitive and precise detection. This platform is essential for medical laboratories, offering optimal performance in speed, sensitivity, and accuracy for both routine and specialized diagnostic tests.

Key Features of the Access 2:

  • Advanced CLIA Technology: The Access 2 utilizes Chemiluminescent Immunoassay (CLIA) technology, ensuring high sensitivity and specificity in biomarker detection. This technology delivers reliable results across various clinical fields, including endocrinology, infectious diseases, and oncology.
  • High Throughput and Rapid Analysis: Capable of processing a large volume of samples in a reduced time frame, the Access 2 enhances laboratory efficiency with its rapid analysis capabilities.
  • Complete Automation: From sample loading to result generation, the Access 2 manages the entire analytical process, minimizing human intervention and reducing potential errors, thereby improving the reliability of analyses.
